Studios will be open to the public on 23-24 and 30-31 October from 10am to 4pm. Some studios will be offering demonstrations and classes during this 10-day period. Other artists are opening their studio during the week by appointment.
Visitors can experience a diverse range of art media; paintings, works on paper, textiles, ceramics, sculpture, mosaics, printmaking, mixed media, photography and more, while becoming acquainted with the participating artists and their studios and galleries.
“This art trail has been curated to embrace the uniqueness of the beautiful 4017 bayside area and is a self-guided tour where a printed/digital map and Studio Guide will be available for you to visit local artists in their studios that are no more than 10 minutes’ drive from each other,” organiser Grace Cross said
“Whether you’re an art enthusiast or art collector, you can enjoy this rare opportunity to not only see behind the scenes but to speak to and support local artists while acquiring original artwork”.
Also, as a “thank you” to visitors to the studios, studio door prizes are being offered. The major prize is a fine art reproduction of “I see a Red Door … too”; an original oil painting by artist, David Cross as well as a second prize of an enticing food hamper.
Local and State government, and local businesses have all proudly supported the event which will provide an opportunity for the local arts community to showcase their talent.
