Practice Aspire Inspire
These three words sum up the goal of SasArt. To put these three words into action we participate in a range of activities…
Untutored Studio Sessions
Held weekly on Monday evenings from 6.00pm to 9.30pm. Studio sessions are hosted at Artrageous in Deagon. As the local hub of art of all kinds Artrageous provides an inspiring venue for you to explore your art. Expect plenty of encouragement and a cuppa. $5.00 per session payable on the evening.
Easter Art Show
Our annual exhibition held at St Patricks College Shorncliffe each Easter. Our artwork is on display to a wide range of people who visit Shorncliffe for the start of the Brisbane – Gladstone yacht race and festival.
Annual event held at the Sandgate Town Hall organised by our good friends the Shorncliffe Potters Group. As well as exhibiting we assist with the show set-up where we can.
Coffee Club Sandgate
Coffee Club hosts rotating two-monthly exhibitions of SasArt members artwork. At these exhibitions SasArt and Coffee Club work together to raise money for a local charity.
SasArt organises a range of ad-hoc Art Pop-ups around the 4017 area. These outdoor Pop-ups display our art in a relaxed environment where people are out and about.
SasArt members can display up to five pieces of their work on this website along with a short bio and contact details.
SasArt is a big supporter of the Einbunpin festival held each year in downtown Sandgate. Members can exhibit artwork for sale on this busy day.
Sandgate Art Society receives advance notice for a number of art shows which individual members may then choose to enter.
Members come together and visit a range of other exhibitions from the local shows at Artrageous through to the latest international sensation at GOMA. Many of the gallery visits are to view members work at other shows including the Nundah Village Art Show and the Ekka Competition.
This list of activities is available to all members of the Sandgate Art Society for just $36 per calendar year (or $3 per month pro-rata for part of a calendar year).
Sound interesting? Send us an email with your contact details. We will get in touch to arrange a time for you to visit us and see it for yourself.
